·      Standard Competence:

2.    Understanding the characteristic of recount text
·      Basic Competence:
1.    Listening:
a.    Responding to expressions of greeting, introducing and parting

2.    Speaking:
a.    Using expressions of greeting, introducing and parting
b.    Performing a monologue of recount texts
·      Indicators:
a.       Respond to expressions of greeting, introducing and parting;
b.      Respond to recount texts;
c.       Introduce self and others;
d.      Say greetings and partings;
e.       Perform a monologue of recount texts.
·      Objective:
a.       The students are able to respond expressions of greeting, introduction, and parting;

·      Method:
a.         Audio Lingual Method
·      Teaching Learning Activity:
o  Preactivities (10 minutes)
-            The teacher greets the students and the students respond the greeting.
-            The teacher checks the attendance list of the students.
-            The teacher reviews the students’ understanding about Korean material from before they continue the material.
o  While activities (60 minutes)
-            The teacher practices a short introducing conversation in Korean and the students listen attentively. The dialogue is not translated but equivalent translation of keys phrases should be given in order for the students to comprehend the dialogue.
-            The students repeat the dialogue each line. If the teacher detects an error, the teacher may ask the student to repeat the sentence. If many students make same errors, chorus repetition and drill will be necessary.
-            Repetition is continued with groups decreasing in size, that is first the two halves of the class, then thirds, and the single rows or smaller groups.
-            Then the teacher asks the students to change the names which are in the dialogue with their own name, and then the students practice the dialogue with their pairs.
-            Pairs of individual students now go to the front of the class to act out the dialogue.
-            The teacher read aloud
o  Post activities (10 minutes)
-            The teacher asks students to read aloud a recount text which is written in alphabet not in Korean letter in front of the class.
-            The teacher writes the dialogue in the whiteboard not using Korean letter.
-            The teacher lets the students to tell their problems to the teacher.

Today is Saturday.
So I don’t go to work.
This morning my brother was coming from Australia.
We met in airport, and I was so glad see him.
We went to down town.
He bought a camera in mini market.
We had lunch in a restaurant.
We went to city park afternoon.
There were many people in City Park.
He took pictures.
He took birds pictures.
He was so happy.
I was happy too.

·      Evaluation:
-            The teacher asks the students to make a short conversation related to introducing self and then read aloud recount text in front of the class.
-            Scoring system:
o   Fluency                                   : 20 %
o   Grammar                                 : 10 %
o   Pronunciation                          : 20 %
o   Diction/vocabulary                  : 30 %
o   Participation                            : 20 % +
Total score                              : 100%
